La Roche-Posay EFFACLAR DUO review

hello every one!

yet again i have been awful at uploading blogs but i'm back with a review!

Recently i have been suffering from bad breakouts across my face and nothing seemed to even touch the issue and after watching a lot of you tube videos and composing a lot of research (sad right?) i have finally found a product that works!

I had never before had any experience with using products from La Roche-Posay but due to my desperation of needing to find something that works i gave this a whirl.

The product itself costs £15 from Boots and comes with great claims of "clearer skin or your money back" which i initially turned a blind eye to as often products that say this purely do it for advertising purposes.

The packaging itself of the product was good, the size is really good considering a little goes a very long way with this product and the applicator meant that not too much would come out at once.

To review this product ultimately I cut out all other spot care treatment products and replaced it with the effaclar duo. Every morning and evening i applied this product after cleansing.

Within the first two days of using this product i saw differences in my impurities beginning to clear already with the redness going.

After the full seven day trial my skin had next to fully cleared with even those horrid under skin spots gone!

I can honestly say this is a wonder product and has changed my skin so much so that this is probably the best it has been in a long time.

Although this product probably did the most part of clearing up my skin i also cut out all sugary foods and replaced them with healthy alternates and recently i have been drinking a lot more water which i believe has helped.

That's all for now, lots of love

2014 Resolutions

Hi everyone,

So first of all i would like to nominate myself for the worst blogger at updating and the achievement of latest new years blog post ever!
I hope you all had a fabulous new years and are all looking forward to 2014!

I wanted to share with you some of my resolutions and things i aim to do in 2014 that will hopefully make this year the best yet and also give you some ideas on some resolutions for 2014 yourself:

1) Don't waste a day
Last year i think i spent a lot of my time doing nothing when i could have been out enjoying myself and being productive so this year i aim to do at least one productive thing every day because life is way too short to be laying on your bed refreshing your Facebook feed.

2) Achieve my targets and goals
I often find myself setting myself a target that i want to do but i often never complete them or follow them through; i have started to right down my ideas of things i would like to accomplish and put them in a jar, every time i think of something i will put that idea in a jar and pick out random ones every now and again but i MUST follow them through.
One thing already in there is to learn the guitar.

3) Be a better person
Now i know this is probably already in your mind for a new years resolution but i think there are so many aspects of being a good person that its hard to know where to begin, I would like to do some volunteer work at my local charities first of all. As well as this you personally may want to get fitter, eat healthier or meet some new people.

4)  Explore
I have always been quite shy of venturing into the un-known but this year i really want to push myself out of my comfort zone and explore the world more as there is so much of it that its too good to miss out on!

5) Be happier
Its easy to let yourself slip into a mindset of not being bothered to do something because it might not sound that great or you might be having a bad day but this year i want to try and have as many good days as possible, i know there will always be bad days but im going to look at a glass as half full rather than half empty.

I hope these five of my resolutions gave you a few ideas on what you might want to change about yourself or achieve in 2014 and i hope the new year brings you all happiness and courage to make 2014 your year!

Lots of love

Bed Time Routine: Beauty Products

Hello Everyone,
first of all I would like to apologize for not uploading my blog last week but I had a rather hectic weekend, my brother was moving out to University and we had to help him pack up all of his things. Sorry for my poor excuse but I am here now and ready to update!

I have been meaning to write this blog post for a while now but I haven't had the time so here it is!

1. First of all in my night routine take off all of my makeup,

I Use Clarins Gentle eye make-up remover which is brilliant, especially for getting water-proof mascara off!
(as you can tell from out my window I took these pictures at night time)

2. To remove the rest of my make-up I use Clean And Clear's Deep Cleanser

3. the final cleansing stage in my routine I like to use L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam which is my all time favourite cleaner, I have used this for such a long time and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean after.

4. Because I often get easily irritated eyes, before I go to bed I like to use Optrex's eye bath for irritated eyes, it really helps cool my eyes down and relax them, I can also recommend this product to people who suffer from hay fever (sorry its a bit late) because this is amazing for making your eyes feel re-vitalized.

5. Body Shop, Aloe calming toner.

6. Finally I like to moisturize my face using Lancome Hydra Zen, this is a really strong moisturizer and leaves your sking feeling lovely and soft for sleeping.

After this I love a cup of Mango and Strawberry tea by Twining's which is delicious!

Night Night, lots of Love Ash xxx

The Fault In Our Stars

Hello everyone, so this week I have been ill. yep, the first week back to normal English weather and I am now stuck with a horrid cold. But every cloud has a silver lining right? I found myself pondering over what to do in my bed ridden state so I decided to read.
You will have probably guessed from the title that the book I read was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.

This book is amazing, I have never really been into reading that much but after my friends had told me about it and raved about TFIOS I decided to read it since I had nothing better to do other than sneeze a lot.
I could not put this book down, the story really effected me in many ways, I laughed and I cried and reading this book really was a roller coaster.

The Fault In Our Stars is about a young girl, Hazel, who has been diagnosed with cancer for years now but every thing changes when she meets Augustus Waters.
Sorry that small snippet gives nothing away but if you want to know what happens you shall have to read it.

I feel like the book really related to me as I have known many people with cancer before and reading this book reminded me of those people in a good way that made me smile. I feel that the author, John Green, has created to very realistic characters that any reader could relate to though, not just people who have known cancer sufferers, the depth into Hazel's mind is so brilliant and you really get the sense you know her as a person.

Sorry that this blog post is a little shorter than usual but I am going to start posting a picture of me or something I am doing or enjoying every Wednesday so all you readers can see what I am up to.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of Love

No.7 CC Cream Review

Hello everyone, I can't believe its September already, this year has gone so fast already and August was definitely a busy month for me :) I hope you all had good Augusts too! Although one thing is that its starting to feel like Autumn again (fall for most people) so the sunny weather is slowly disappearing *sighs*.

Anyway, on to this weeks blog post, Last week I went out to buy some new foundation and came across No7's Youthful CC Cream, which is actually a new product by them.

I thought this product would be great for going back to school as its easy application and light to medium coverage which is all I really want for school. I applied the foundation all over my forehead and T-Zone using my Real Techniques expert face brush (which is fab) after using primer and I found the product to be good, I like that there is enough coverage to cover up an slight blemishes without having to use concealer and feels nice on your skin. After wearing the product for a day I noticed it had only worn of slightly which is brilliant!

I found that after using it for a week, I have been having less break outs as its not clogging my pores which is another bonus! I would definitely recommend this product to younger readers who just want to wear a little amount of foundation to even their skin tone; this product does exactly that without looking like your wearing make-up.

Above are just a few snaps of the product and my favourite foundation brush!

Unfortunately that is all for this week, but I shall see you all next week. Sorry if you thought this was a bit of a short post but I wanted to post my views on this product, soon I will be posting another life update.
Leave your comments below with your opinions on this product and if I helped you which I hope I have. See you all soon.
Lots Of Love

Nail Paint by Barry M Review

Hello everyone,
how are we all? I can't believe its almost the end of August, this month has gone so fast and I wanted to share a couple of thoughts with you in today's blog.

Without further A-do, Review time!

My first impressions of this nail paint was that the colour was absolutely fabulous! I got my first pot in my favourite colour of mint green (304). I also thought the pricing of this polish was extremely good value! For one it is only £2.99 and If you wanted to buy three from super drug they had a deal on.

Above is a picture of Barry M's wonderful creation. The cute little pot has already traveled to Ireland with me and is a great size to fit in your bag (slightly irrelevant).

When I used this product for the first time I decided that I would do two layers of the paint as after applying a base layer and my first layer of colour, the colour on my nails was slightly transparent. Though after a second layer of the colour and a top coat it left my nails shiny with a good layer of colour!

Here is another shot of the snazzy nail pot in use.
One of my favourite things about this nail paint is that it dries extremely quickly, which is great for me as I can barely sit still for a minute without being tempted to touch my nails.

So thank you Barry M and thank you to the people who raved about this lovely pot of joy and tempted me to buy it!
I have already bought three more colours but I decided to review this one as it was my first one to buy so this gave me my first impression.

Comment your thoughts on this product, tell me what you love about it, tell me what you don't like about it.

As well as this, If anyone has any products they would like to be reviewed, leave a comment below and I will do so.

I hope you all have a brilliant day, I shall see you in September.

Lots of Love, Ash xxx
