Bed Time Routine: Beauty Products

Hello Everyone,
first of all I would like to apologize for not uploading my blog last week but I had a rather hectic weekend, my brother was moving out to University and we had to help him pack up all of his things. Sorry for my poor excuse but I am here now and ready to update!

I have been meaning to write this blog post for a while now but I haven't had the time so here it is!

1. First of all in my night routine take off all of my makeup,

I Use Clarins Gentle eye make-up remover which is brilliant, especially for getting water-proof mascara off!
(as you can tell from out my window I took these pictures at night time)

2. To remove the rest of my make-up I use Clean And Clear's Deep Cleanser

3. the final cleansing stage in my routine I like to use L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam which is my all time favourite cleaner, I have used this for such a long time and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean after.

4. Because I often get easily irritated eyes, before I go to bed I like to use Optrex's eye bath for irritated eyes, it really helps cool my eyes down and relax them, I can also recommend this product to people who suffer from hay fever (sorry its a bit late) because this is amazing for making your eyes feel re-vitalized.

5. Body Shop, Aloe calming toner.

6. Finally I like to moisturize my face using Lancome Hydra Zen, this is a really strong moisturizer and leaves your sking feeling lovely and soft for sleeping.

After this I love a cup of Mango and Strawberry tea by Twining's which is delicious!

Night Night, lots of Love Ash xxx

The Fault In Our Stars

Hello everyone, so this week I have been ill. yep, the first week back to normal English weather and I am now stuck with a horrid cold. But every cloud has a silver lining right? I found myself pondering over what to do in my bed ridden state so I decided to read.
You will have probably guessed from the title that the book I read was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.

This book is amazing, I have never really been into reading that much but after my friends had told me about it and raved about TFIOS I decided to read it since I had nothing better to do other than sneeze a lot.
I could not put this book down, the story really effected me in many ways, I laughed and I cried and reading this book really was a roller coaster.

The Fault In Our Stars is about a young girl, Hazel, who has been diagnosed with cancer for years now but every thing changes when she meets Augustus Waters.
Sorry that small snippet gives nothing away but if you want to know what happens you shall have to read it.

I feel like the book really related to me as I have known many people with cancer before and reading this book reminded me of those people in a good way that made me smile. I feel that the author, John Green, has created to very realistic characters that any reader could relate to though, not just people who have known cancer sufferers, the depth into Hazel's mind is so brilliant and you really get the sense you know her as a person.

Sorry that this blog post is a little shorter than usual but I am going to start posting a picture of me or something I am doing or enjoying every Wednesday so all you readers can see what I am up to.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of Love

No.7 CC Cream Review

Hello everyone, I can't believe its September already, this year has gone so fast already and August was definitely a busy month for me :) I hope you all had good Augusts too! Although one thing is that its starting to feel like Autumn again (fall for most people) so the sunny weather is slowly disappearing *sighs*.

Anyway, on to this weeks blog post, Last week I went out to buy some new foundation and came across No7's Youthful CC Cream, which is actually a new product by them.

I thought this product would be great for going back to school as its easy application and light to medium coverage which is all I really want for school. I applied the foundation all over my forehead and T-Zone using my Real Techniques expert face brush (which is fab) after using primer and I found the product to be good, I like that there is enough coverage to cover up an slight blemishes without having to use concealer and feels nice on your skin. After wearing the product for a day I noticed it had only worn of slightly which is brilliant!

I found that after using it for a week, I have been having less break outs as its not clogging my pores which is another bonus! I would definitely recommend this product to younger readers who just want to wear a little amount of foundation to even their skin tone; this product does exactly that without looking like your wearing make-up.

Above are just a few snaps of the product and my favourite foundation brush!

Unfortunately that is all for this week, but I shall see you all next week. Sorry if you thought this was a bit of a short post but I wanted to post my views on this product, soon I will be posting another life update.
Leave your comments below with your opinions on this product and if I helped you which I hope I have. See you all soon.
Lots Of Love

Nail Paint by Barry M Review

Hello everyone,
how are we all? I can't believe its almost the end of August, this month has gone so fast and I wanted to share a couple of thoughts with you in today's blog.

Without further A-do, Review time!

My first impressions of this nail paint was that the colour was absolutely fabulous! I got my first pot in my favourite colour of mint green (304). I also thought the pricing of this polish was extremely good value! For one it is only £2.99 and If you wanted to buy three from super drug they had a deal on.

Above is a picture of Barry M's wonderful creation. The cute little pot has already traveled to Ireland with me and is a great size to fit in your bag (slightly irrelevant).

When I used this product for the first time I decided that I would do two layers of the paint as after applying a base layer and my first layer of colour, the colour on my nails was slightly transparent. Though after a second layer of the colour and a top coat it left my nails shiny with a good layer of colour!

Here is another shot of the snazzy nail pot in use.
One of my favourite things about this nail paint is that it dries extremely quickly, which is great for me as I can barely sit still for a minute without being tempted to touch my nails.

So thank you Barry M and thank you to the people who raved about this lovely pot of joy and tempted me to buy it!
I have already bought three more colours but I decided to review this one as it was my first one to buy so this gave me my first impression.

Comment your thoughts on this product, tell me what you love about it, tell me what you don't like about it.

As well as this, If anyone has any products they would like to be reviewed, leave a comment below and I will do so.

I hope you all have a brilliant day, I shall see you in September.

Lots of Love, Ash xxx

Baby Lips Review

Baby Lips Review.

Hello everyone,
How are you all enjoying this fine month of August? It hasn't been the best weather here in England but if you aren't from the UK tell me how the weather has been for you.

Anyway, on to the important stuff eh?
Well this week I invested my money into Maybelline's Baby Lips which is a 'moisturizing lip balm with a hint of colour'.
I bought mine from boots (a British drugstore) at only £2.99 for a tube, In my case I got the cherry balm.

Up above are a few snaps of Baby Lips in 'Cherry Me' which I must say is a very snazzy name.
One of the first things I noticed about this product was that it described itself as a moisturizing lip balm as well as a hint of colour; In my experience most moisturizing products don't add colour as well. I was proved wrong though, I thought that using this gave my lips a fabulous hot pink tint which I topped with lip gloss.
I think that this product is a GOOD moisturizer, I didn't think it was great but It definitely gave some moisture.
(sorry for saying moisture a lot in this blog)
One of my favourite things about this product though has to be the smell. The cherry smell is delicious and I have found myself sitting there breathing in the gorgeous essence of sweet cherry on my lips.
Overall I definitely like this product and would buy it again, I look forwards to trying out more of the exotic flavors and types of Maybelline's Baby Lips.

Sorry that this weeks blog post was fairly short but I have been super busy this week, I hope you enjoyed reading. See you soon.
Lots of love Ash xxx

Review and life update

Hello everyone,
I Can't believe its August already; this year as gone so quickly but I still have time to complete all of those new years resolutions that I said to myself I would do.

Just a quick update to say that recently I got back from my fabulous holiday with my family in Lanzarote and missing the lovely warm weather already. We had a great adventure exploring every inch of the island and going up the heights of the Volcano to the darkness of the cool caves. We had an amazing time that's for sure and here are a few pictures from my summer holiday highlight.
beautiful view of the sunset

great entertainment for the plane journey

my extremely unattractive legs by the great pool
me and my sister in a "naughty" shop before we got told to leave.

Review Time

So this summer I noticed my skin needed a much fuller coverage of foundation so when I went to Boots I was suggested Maybelline dream matte mousse. oooh. Since I had never tried out mousse foundation I decided to step out of the box and try It.
I love this foundation, It's easy application and smooth finish is brilliant. Another bonus of the mousse is that it doesn't cause me to brake out which I think is great to find in such a thick foundation. You also get great value for money because you only need to use a tiny bit at once, it spreads excellently and leaves a soft touch to your skin.
After applying a tiny bit to my t-zone ,where I find the most break outs happen, using my fingers (you could also use a sponge but a brush is not recommended) I dabbed the foundation where I needed it most and felt that afterwards it gave some what of a better finish than most liquid foundations; I felt my skin looked flawless and most importantly  it stayed matte! I bought this in shade 010, Ivory.
so cheers to Maybelline and the nice woman who recommended it.

That's the end of this weeks blog, I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see ya next week :)

July Favourites

July Favorites

So who enjoyed July?
It has been a great month for with amazing sunny weather and lots of exciting things have happened as well as me discovering some slightly more random favourites of the month.

1. This is one of my random favorites of the month and strangely I never used to like it until now. I have become in love with watermelon. I find the taste of it so refreshing and luscious; especially in the weather we have recently been lucky enough to have.

2. Rimmel London wake me up concealer and correcteur - I know i am a bit late to jump on the wake me up 'band wagon' but after weeks of deciding whether or not to get Rimmel's new glowing concealer I finally bought it and absolutely love it!

3. The perks of being a wallflower- this book was actually released a long time ago and after was made into a film which i loved and since bought the book; Whilst i was on holiday i decided to start reading again after i got out of the habit and straight away got into this great book which is such an easy read with an intriguing plot to it!

4.My fourth fantastic favorite is a Top-shop dress that I re-discovered from my wardrobe, After having a clear out i found the white dress neatly hung up and not worn but after finding the white floral dress I have worn it almost every week. Even though it's a year old it still really fits in with this years summer trends and when i wear it i feel all summery and floral.

5. Candy crush - haven't we all given in? The candy crush saga is one of my more random favorites in form of an app which is really addictive and great fun to play although when i get stuck on a level more frustrating.

6. If you live in England you will have probably noticed that the weather has recently been amazingly warm and i have been loving every bit of it along side my sunglasses from Topshop which have gone everywhere with me for the past month.

7. Even though it is summer I have found myself returning to the warmth of my favorite nail polish which is Ciate's paint pot in "bon bon". I absolutely adore this colour and although its quite plain i find it such a lovely colour and makes a statement as much as a bold color would.

I hope you enjoyed having a look through a small collection of my July favourites and have a great August.
lots of love Ash xx
